After playing 2 different stacks of records tonight on both sides all of a sudden it's setting the needle down for a 10 inch record instead of I can see that the stop lever is not moving in quite far enough for the 12 inch stop to contact the tab on the tone arm pivot. After playing for the last 4 days probably over 20 hours and this evening after being on for nearly 3 hours and running flawlessly the Zero has shown up a problem. It wasn't the best idler I ever had, but all the auto functions worked and it was fun to look at too. I sold it not too long ago as I just wasn't using that much as opposed to my others, but it was a nice machine. It was pretty nice, sounded ok, and had 78rpm - the 92 was idler drive. Then came along a Dual Oh good lord I had enough! And I ain't gettin' rid of it. I owned several BSR's I thought it was the best. I traded it in on a Denon which seemed to be a good idea at the time. I had one years ago and it ran beautifully and sounded great with it's V type 2. I always loved them and wondered why they never have really found the following I think they deserve.
IIRC the only issue was taking care of the articulating pivots so they won't bind. I just may have to rethink my Garrard position. It's hooked it up to my Kenwood amp and KLH 23 speakers and so far it's worked perfectly. The thing was completely gummed up and needed a total teardown clean and relube. It was missing the cartridge but other than that it was all there.
